We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our team on a busy commercial/civils project in Ireland.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work with a civil engineering contractor with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. They have strong family values and recognition for their staff.
* Conduct thorough project assessments and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary corrective measures.
* Oversee structural activity and adhere to health and safety regulations.
* Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on project status to stakeholders.
* Evaluate and select contractors and subcontractors based on qualifications, experience, and cost-effectiveness.
* Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* 10+ years relevant experience on infrastructure/civils projects.
* A civil engineer/construction management degree.
* Heavy civils knowledge.
* Strong communication skills.
* Excellent project management skills, including effective planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.
* Strong financial understanding and experience in project budgeting and cost control.
* Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
