About the Role
EHS International is seeking a highly qualified and experienced NEBOSH IGC Lead Tutor to oversee the delivery of our NEBOSH International General Certificate programme.
This role is central to maintaining the high standard of our training and supporting learners through engaging, accurate and industry aligned instruction.
The successful candidate will lead course delivery, ensure syllabus compliance, support quality assurance, and contribute to the continued development of our training portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Course Delivery and Leadership

• Deliver the NEBOSH International General Certificate syllabus to a high standard in both classroom and online environments.

• Act as Lead Tutor for the programme and ensure consistent alignment with NEBOSH guidance, syllabus updates and assessment standards.

• Support, mentor and coordinate additional tutors delivering IGC modules.

• Facilitate learner engagement and provide guidance, feedback and support throughout the learning journey.
Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Ensure all materials, sessions and assessments align with NEBOSH requirements.

• Contribute to internal verification, course reviews and continuous improvement processes.

• Maintain accurate records, lesson plans, schemes of work and reports as required by NEBOSH and EHS International.

• Participate in audits, standardisation and tutor development sessions.
Curriculum Development

• Assist in updating course content in line with legislation, guidance and industry best practice.

• Develop engaging teaching resources, case studies and practical examples that reflect real world scenarios.
Qualifications and Professional Requirements
Essential

• NEBOSH National or International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or an equivalent recognised qualification.

• Strong knowledge of current Irish and international health and safety legislation, standards and best practice.

• Experience working in a health and safety role relevant to the NEBOSH IGC syllabus.

• Experience in delivering training, teaching or coaching within an adult learning environment.

• High level of written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable

• Membership with a recognised professional body such as IOSH or the IIRSM at a grade appropriate to the Lead Tutor role.

• If membership is not held, evidence of robust methods used to stay up to date with current legislation and professional development.

• Experience delivering NEBOSH or other accredited training programmes.

• Experience in developing content for blended learning or virtual learning environments.
