Food Buyer Administrator
Carambola, Irelands leading school lunch food service supplier, is seeking a passionate Food Buyer Administrator to join our team in Limerick.

The successful candidate will support the purchasing and procurement function by providing administrative, clerical, and coordination support.
This role ensures that purchasing activities are completed efficiently, suppliers are managed effectively, and records are accurate and up to date.
The Buyer Administrator works closely with buyers, suppliers, and internal departments to help maintain smooth supply chain operations.

Responsibilities of this Junior Food Buyer job include:
Be a support function to the procurement department in dealing with supplier's day to day.
Update and maintain procurement databases, spreadsheets, and reports.
Ensure all purchasing documentation (POs, quotations, supplier confirmations, delivery notes, invoices) is accurate and properly filed.
Assist solving pricing queries from suppliers and assist the accounts department with invoice matching queries.
Work closely with the team to ensure Stock Replenishment team to avoid shortages and assist with Supplier delivery issues.
Assist maintaining supplier contracts ensuring that all agreements are in writing and on file.
Requirements
Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
Numerate with good data-entry accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP/purchasing systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Experience using Sage 200 (desirable).
Understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles (desirable).
Professional attitude with a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to process improvement.
Passion for food is essential.
