Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Document Writer to join our team in Ardee with required travel to other sites. This role is critical in supporting the rollout of new software solutions and documenting existing in-house applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation to support end users and IT operations across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Create comprehensive end-user documentation and guides for newly implemented software. Collaborate with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to gather information on in-house systems and applications. Document existing in-house software and IT systems, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency. Support the software rollout process by developing training materials, quick-start guides, FAQs, and walkthroughs. Communicate and present documentation to various departments to aid adoption and understanding. Travel to company locations as required to support training and gather documentation input. Maintain and update documentation based on software changes or user feedback. Key Skills & Requirements: Strong understanding of software development and IT systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and accessible content. Proficient in Microsoft Office and document design tools (e.g., Visio, Snagit, Confluence, Adobe Acrobat). Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel as required. Desirable Qualifications & Experience: Degree or diploma in IT, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field. Experience in user training or instructional design is a plus. Knowledge of change management or software deployment practices is advantageous.
