Senior / Principal HydromorphologistAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hydromorphologist to join a growing environmental consultancy team in Ireland. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering water resource and river restoration projects, focusing on improving hydromorphological and hydrological conditions in line with the Water Framework Directive.Responsibilities:Lead assessments and design measures to address hydromorphological and hydrological challenges.Develop and implement nature-based solutions and natural flood management measures.Contribute to river restoration projects, including barrier mitigation, fish passage design, and peatland restoration.Undertake geomorphological assessments at catchment and reach scales.Support proposal writing, client engagement, and business development activities.Manage project delivery, budgets, and technical quality to ensure successful outcomes.Requirements:Degree or higher qualification (Level 8/9) in Hydrology, Environmental Science, or a related field.Proven experience in hydromorphology, hydrology, or water resources projects, preferably within a consultancy environment.Chartered or working toward professional accreditation (CEnv, CSci, etc.).Strong understanding of key issues affecting Ireland's water systems, including barriers, dredging, and canalisation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence dealing with clients and stakeholders.Full Irish/EU driving licence.The Opportunity:This role offers the chance to lead meaningful environmental projects that restore and protect Ireland's waterways.
