About The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated environmental sustainability specialist to assist in the development & implementation of Environmental & Sustainability best practice
work both in Head Office & construction projects.
The role will involve environmental/waste compliance auditing and reporting. Candidates should have Interpersonal skills, self-motivated and work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain current ISO14001:2015 accreditation.
* Waste and environmental auditing and support.
* Management of waste management programme for construction projects.
* Developing and improving waste management processes and procedures.
* Conduct sustainability audits and assessments of the company's operations, and supply chain to identify areas for improvement.
* Monitor contractors progress and generate reports.
* Implement sustainability strategies to reduce waste and energy in compliance with environmental regulations.
* Reduce emissions and meet decarbonisation and energy efficiency targets.
* Ensuring compliance with Irish environmental standards and regulations.
* Assist in development of sustainability reports by gathering/analysing data.
* Develop working relationships with client and aim to obtain repeat business from client.
* Ongoing monitoring and implementation of sustainability tracking tools.
* Preparation and engagement on CSRD reporting.
Requirements:
* Minimum Level 8 qualification in Environmental/Sustainability Engineering or related field.
* 3 + Years experience in a similar role in the construction Industry.
* Can do attitude with an ability to work on you own initiative as well as part of a team.
* Proficiency in industry recognised measuring & monitoring tools.
* Previous experience using Sustain IQ is desirable
