We are looking for a creative and hard-working Senior Cloud Network Automation Engineer in Azure Hyperscale Physical Network team.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to operate the world biggest cloud network for AI, collaborate on new design/architecture operational readiness, and develop automation and management platforms to make the network accessible, reliable, and self-healing.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Technical experience in network design, development, and automation
OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in network design, development, and automation.
OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in network design, development, and automation
OR Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Experience in networking, scripting, and software development.
Familiarity/hands-on experience with network device operating systems (Sonic, Arista, Cisco, Juniper)
Cisco CCNA (or equivalent) and experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and Windows servers
Experience with writing automation in languages such as Python, Powershell or C#
Experience with writing scripts that use REST APIs, Syslog, XML, SNMP, and other Network Management Systems
Other Qualifications:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check at hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical experience in network design, development, and automation
OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in network design, development, and automation
OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in network design, development, and automation
OR Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in network design, development, and automation
Experience delivering network designs into production and live site accountability for a network
Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and understanding of IP networking MPLS, BGP, ISIS, OSPF and Anycast routing
Experience managing and troubleshooting network issues on large-scale networks
Leadership, coordination, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently on complex tasks
Motivated to drive leading edge technologies; understanding of TCP/IP, BGP and AnyCast
Responsibilities
Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.
Contributes to the identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product area with limited oversight.
Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.
Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation.
Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems.
Remains current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improve availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
