Job Summary:
The Group Modular Electrical Team Engineering Lead is responsible for overseeing and leading a team of Electrical engineers focused on the Electrical design fitout of modular units. This role includes managing the integration of electrical and mechanical systems within modular structures, ensuring that all designs are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modular construction, and Electrical systems, along with an understanding of electrical engineering and proven leadership abilities to guide and develop a high-performing team.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
· Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Electrical engineering roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity within modular construction or similar industries.
· Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems and modular construction practices. Experience with electrical design, installation, and commissioning.
· Leadership: Proven experience in managing teams, including the ability to lead, motivate, and develop engineers and technicians.
· Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including experience with budgeting, resource management, and scheduling.
· Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safety regulations, local codes, and industry standards related to electrical and mechanical installations.
· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
· Modular Construction Experience: Familiarity with modular construction techniques and the specific challenges associated with electrical and mechanical fitouts in modular units.
· BIM Knowledge: Familiarity with Building Information modelling (BIM) tools and software for coordination and design of electrical and mechanical systems.
· Quality Management: Experience in implementing quality control and assurance processes for electrical and mechanical installations.
· Health & Safety Certification: Certification in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) would be an advantage.
· Project Management Certification: PMP or similar project management certification is desirable.
