Role Summary:Ready to step into a role where your engineering decisions directly shape site-wide automation and EI&A strategy?Our client, a leading global manufacturer with major ongoing capital investment in Dublin, is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Project Engineer to drive high-impact E&I and Automation initiatives across the site.In this position, you'll join a facility undergoing significant development with continuous engineering project activity, gaining the opportunity to influence and shape the automation and EI&A direction for the Dublin operation.You'll be deeply involved in projects from concept through commissioning, giving you real ownership and visibility across the plant, while working in a role that is both technically challenging and strategically important within a high-performance manufacturing environment.Core Duties and Responsibilities:In this role, you will lead and support EI&A activities from concept through commissioning, including:Delivering EI&A engineering expertise across new installations, upgrades and automation initiatives.Developing URS and scope documents and supporting other engineering disciplines on E&I elements of projects.Selecting and sizing electrical and instrumentation equipment for both ATEX and non-ATEX environments.Owning design reviews, design risk assessments, and participating in HAZOPs.Preparing project budgets, capital requests, and tracking schedules through to completion.Coordinating contractors and ensuring safe, compliant installation during execution.Reviewing and approving EI&A designs, loop sheets, ATEX inspections, RECI certs, and building project safety files.Acting as the site SME for EI&A standards, compliance, and best practice.Minimum Qualifications and Experience:A degree in Mechanical, Process, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.4+ years' experience delivering engineering projects in a manufacturing environment.Practical experience in ATEX environments.Strong capability in electrical design, motor/cable sizing, and protective device selection.Experience installing or commissioning DCS or SCADA control systems (Eurotherm advantageous).Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Clear communication, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to present proposals confidently.A calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure.Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Teams, and general MS Office tools (desirable).
