Duties include: Assisting with developing a schedule of exciting events and activities for residents. Providing a broad range of activities to cater for all needs including both group and individual activities. Escorting or transferring residents to aid their participation in activities, employing manual handling best practice, and taking direction from the nursing staff. Encouraging residents to join in meaningful activities whilst maintaining their independence, choice and dignity, to enable them to lead as full and active a life as possible Reporting any changes in residents conditions to the nursing staff. Assessing residents needs continuously, particularly regarding possible rehabilitation, and participate in resident reviews as appropriate. Supporting volunteers in their roles and ensuring they receive appropriate supervision and support. Completing any documentation as requested by the DON or Activities Manager. Requirements Experience in a similar role Elder care experience Excellent communication skills Excellent personal care abilities Flexibility to work 3 days per week including some weekends Why work for us?
