A major infrastructure and utilities organisation is seeking a
Project Engineer
to support delivery of improvement projects across hydroelectric generation assets nationwide.
This role will focus on managing engineering projects from concept through to commissioning and handover, supporting long-term sustainability and operational improvement programmes.

Based from Dublin with regular site travel across hydro stations nationally
18-month contract
SafePass and manual handling required
Access to own vehicle required
Hybrid working available depending on project requirements
Responsibilities
Manage engineering projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover
Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets and risk registers
Support tendering activities, contractor selection and technical evaluations
Oversee contractor management, site inspections and supervision activities
Review RAMS, method statements and project H&S documentation
Coordinate project delivery across live operational hydro sitesyes
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards
Support drawing, document control and project reporting activities
Requirements
Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related Engineering discipline
Demonstrated experience delivering engineering or infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of project management principles
Experience working with contractors, site teams and stakeholders
Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practice
Strong communication and report writing skills
Full driving licence and flexibility to travel nationally
Desirable
Experience within utilities, power generation or regulated infrastructure environments
Experience working on hydro, energy or industrial projects
Knowledge of contractor management and commissioning activities
