A seasoned professional will work with a medical device manufacturing client on a contracting basis in Galway. The role involves assessing raw materials, components, and assembly suppliers for their technical and manufacturing capabilities.
* Lead the development of strategies to optimize sub-assembly or component usage or design.
* Drive product improvements related to manufacturing processes and components.
* Collaborate with suppliers and laboratories to develop inspection methods and controls.
The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering and 5-7 years of experience in medical device process/device design and development in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement process/product improvements.
2. Develop strategies for characterizing and validating new and improved manufacturing processes and components.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop effective quality control measures.

Requirements:
