This role involves supporting inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy services. The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical and administrative duties.
Job Description:
* Assist physiotherapists to deliver high-quality clinical services.
* Deliver ward-based inpatient physiotherapy and pre-operative and post-operative outpatient physiotherapy under the supervision of a physiotherapist.
* Liaise with physiotherapists regarding patient progress and organizing group activities.
* Observe patients' behavior, response, and ability and report back to physiotherapists.
* Evaluate patient records and ensure accurate record-keeping.
* Carry out administrative and clerical duties to support physiotherapy staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Fetac level 5 Physio assistant health service skills module or equivalent.
* Qualification in Exercise Science/Exercise Physiology or similar (desirable but not essential).
* Experience in healthcare/caring environment.
* Designing individual and team programmes.
* Working with cohorts with chronic illnesses.
