Denis McSweeney Solicitors LLP are a well-established Dublin law firm with a strong reputation in Probate, and they are looking for a Legal Administrator to join their senior associates within the Department. Denis McSweeney Solicitors offer a competitive salary that increases meaningfully as you develop, with genuine long-term earning potential for the right person. Legal and specifically Probate experience, while an advantage, is not required.
What they are looking for is someone who is exceptionally organised, a confident communicator, and genuinely at home with modern technology - including the AI‑assisted tools and legal software that are increasingly central to how firms operate. The role
Working closely with senior associates in Probate Department, you will be the organisational engine of the department - anticipating what is needed, staying one step ahead, and ensuring that matters progress smoothly and efficiently. You will take ownership of how the team operates day to day. This means managing correspondence, scheduling, and file maintenance; preparing and formatting legal documents and court submissions; and liaising professionally with clients, courts, and third parties.
You will also play a key role in supporting your colleagues with the technology and software tools that underpin modern legal practice - a role that rewards someone who is quietly capable and happy to lead through support. Beyond the Probate department, you will be trained across a range of administrative functions within the practice so that you can provide confident support across the office when needed. Full training will be provided on all systems and software we use, so prior knowledge of specific platforms is not required.

Real IT confidence – you pick up new platforms quickly, are comfortable supporting others with technology, and have a genuine interest in how it is changing the legal world
A proactive, dynamic mindset – you take initiative, find solutions, and understand that great support is what enables great legal work
A third-level qualification is an advantage, as is experience in a legal or professional services environment, though neither is essential if you can demonstrate the right qualities
