Gourmet Food Parlour is a vibrant, fast-paced hospitality group known for high-quality food, excellent service, and a warm team environment. Our Salthill location is seeking a reliable and hardworking Seasonal Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen team during a busy period.
Role Overview
The Kitchen Porter will play a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, supporting chefs with basic tasks, and ensuring the overall efficiency of back-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
* Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using dishwashing equipment and manual methods.
* Assist chefs with basic food preparation where required.
* Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling systems are followed.
* Support stock deliveries by unloading, organising, and storing items safely.
* Adhere to health & safety and HACCP guidelines at all times.
* Carry out deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled.
* Work efficiently under pressure during peak service times.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a kitchen porter or similar role is an advantage but not essential.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
* Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holiday periods as required.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland.
* Must Speak English
