About the Job
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and detailing product documentation and drawings of components and assemblies to support BOM creation and management, as well as fabrication and production line activities. You will use SolidWorks and AutoCAD to produce accurate 3D models and 2D drawings that meet our internal standards and quality requirements. Experience with fabrication processes, dimensional and geometrical tolerances, sheet metal design tools, and the creation of flat patterns is highly valued. Your work scope will also include preparing technical documentation and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support production and procurement activities, such as creating BOM part lists, managing data within our inventory system and engineering files, controlling design modifications, and writing manuals and SOPs. To succeed in this role, you should have strong technical understanding, great attention to detail, and a structured approach to organizing and prioritizing tasks. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary and multicultural team are essential.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical documentation for components and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
* Manage and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), including part lists, engineering files, and inventory system data
* Control and document design modifications and engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle
* Prepare and maintain SOPs, assembly instructions, and technical manuals to support production and field operation
* Ensure all drawings and documentation comply with industrial standards, quality procedures, and internal design guidelines
* Work closely with production, procurement, and engineering teams to align product documentation with operational needs and continuous improvement goals
Qualifications
* Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
* Strong skills in technical drawing and proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
* Solid understanding of fabrication processes, production workflows, and product documentation
* Ability to support management of BOMs, engineering changes, and technical files with accuracy and attention to detail
* Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering and production teams
Although this position requires a solid technical and theoretical background, we are looking for a candidate with at least two years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, fabrication, or production environments. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering knowledge with practical experience in translating designs into manufacturable solutions. We value individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
