A leading Irish consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their specialist Flood & Dam Division! Excited to have partnered with a leading Irish Engineering Consultancy, to assist them in finding an experienced Civil Engineer, for opportunities available in Dublin OR Galway team. This role offers hands-on exposure to nationally significant flood risk, hydrology, and water-infrastructure projects while working closely with senior engineers who will actively support your technical and professional development. Projects Flood Risk Assessments for major Irish developments (Stages 13) Hydrological analysis and river modelling for strategic infrastructure Flood Relief Scheme design and technical documentation Reservoir and dam safety inspections across Ireland Water infrastructure construction supervision and contract administration Requirements Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent 2+ years experience (graduates with relevant project exposure also considered) Understanding of hydrology and river modelling principles Confident communication skills and ability to work effectively within project teams Proficiency in software such as HEC-RAS 1D/2D, Flood Modeller, AutoCAD, and Innovyze/MicroDrainage Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and willingness to develop GIS capability (ArcGIS, QGIS, or MapInfo) Salary & Benefits €45,000k €55,000k DOE plus benefits Clear development pathway with exposure to major national projects Supportive, collaborative team environment with strong senior mentorship Hybrid flexibility depending on project requirements Long-term progression opportunities for an ambitious Civil Engineer within a specialist division If youre a motivated Civil Engineer ready to build your career in flood risk, hydrology, and water infrastructure, reach out to discuss the opportunity and share your CV with Jade.
