Care Network Ireland is currently recruiting a qualified acute nurse for an acute facility in Kilkenny.The Acute Care Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and complex health conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality, evidence-based patient outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with acute or critical illnesses.Monitor, record, and report changes in patients' conditions and responses to treatment.Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately.Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.Operate and maintain medical equipment such as monitors, infusion pumps, and ventilators.Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and recovery processes.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation and reports.Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies and procedures.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (State-specific).Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of acute care or hospital-based nursing experience preferred.Key Skills and Competencies:Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and medical technology.Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.What We Offer:Competitive pay ratesFlexible working hoursSupportive and inclusive work environment
