Head of Sales
who possesses inspirational leadership skills and a strong network within the pharma/biopharma and medical devices sectors.
The Opportunity
Our client is recruiting a
Head of Sales
to join their leadership team who will be responsible for the strategic development and operational excellence of the team which includes 7 sales managers.
This leadership role requires a commercially astute, dynamic individual with proven expertise in professional sales management, CRM-led business development, and a strong focus on delivering results through people.
The Head of Sales will also play a pivotal role in driving business development initiatives and leading change across the organisation, ensuring the sales function remains agile, innovative, and aligned with evolving market needs.
Reporting directly to the
Managing Director
, the Head of Sales will set and own the commercial agenda, driving sustainable revenue growth while embedding a customer first culture.
Leading through a team of Sales Managers, you will act as a positive disruptor and agent of change, ensuring the organisation evolves to meet market challenges and capitalises on new opportunities.
About the Company
Sourcing and supplying high-quality equipment.
Providing technical services such as installation, calibration, validation, maintenance, and software support.
Designing tailored solutions for clients using their deep product knowledge and consultancy expertise.
Responsibilities
Define and implement a sales strategy that drives growth, market share, and profitability.
Identify and pursue new business development opportunities, expanding the company's reach into new markets, customer segments, and supplier partnerships.
Drive CRM adoption and excellence to enhance customer insight, optimise pipeline management, and improve forecasting accuracy.
Lead, coach, and develop Sales Managers and their teams, creating a performance driven culture that delivers results through collaboration and accountability.
Strengthen commercial relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners to maximise value.
Partner with Marketing, Service, and Finance functions to ensure alignment of sales initiatives, campaigns, and commercial goals.
Continuously improve sales processes, embedding data-driven decision-making and innovation to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Play an active role on the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to business transformation and long-term success.
Qualifications
Proven track record in professional sales management, ideally within the scientific or technology sector.
Strong commercial capability with experience in CRM-led sales strategies.
A go-getter who owns their agenda and consistently delivers results.
A natural people leader with the ability to manage team dynamics, motivate others, and foster high performance.
Agent for change – proactive, adaptable, and comfortable challenging the status quo.
Positive disruptor with an innovative approach to market development and customer engagement.
Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
Resilient, energetic, and highly results-focused.
