This position includes not only software development, but also analysis of the requirements and specification design.Reporting to the Head of Underwriting Non-Life Applications your responsibilities will include:Software Design and Development:Study information needs, system flows, data usage and work processesInvestigate problem areas in cooperation with the Business ExpertsProduce the required documentation (screen layout, business rules & other)Develop and maintain software applicationsSolution Testing, Installation and Support:Define and execute unit and regression testsUser support during acceptance testsEnsure functionality and performancePrepare the installation of the solutions including the CI/CD pipelinesCreate and maintain technical documentationProvide second level support Operations Improvements:Conduct systems analysis and recommend changesQualificationsAbout you:At least 5 years experience as a Software Engineer designing & developing solutionsProficiency in .NET programming (C#, WPF), MS SQL Server (T-SQL), AngularExperience with software development methodologies such as Agile or ScrumKnowledge of cloud security best practices and tools, particularly in AzureFamiliar with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelinesAnalytical and highly motivated to understand our business processesGood communication and language skills in English (proficient verbal and in writing)Ability to work effectively both within a team and also independentlyDriven towards finding solutions and being responsiveA university degree or equivalent in IT/Computer ScienceExperience in the insurance or reinsurance industry is a plusWhat can we offer you:An international environment, where you will work in a team of experienced Software Engineers based in Dublin, Paris, Stamford and Zurich, and can learn from reinsurance specialists (Pricing Actuaries, Cat Researchers and Underwriters).
