Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Summary
A highly skilled commercial professional is sought to lead the commercial lifecycle of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Management: Oversee project cost planning, tendering, and final account settlement.
2. Cost Planning & Estimating: Prepare detailed cost plans, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and budget estimates for projects.
3. Procurement & Contracts: Lead procurement processes, negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, and manage contract variations and claims.
4. Financial Monitoring: Track project expenditure, provide accurate cost reporting, monitor cash flow, and forecast costs against budget.
5. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and report on commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project profitability.
6. Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, design teams, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure transparency and build relationships.
7. Value Engineering: Conduct value engineering to identify cost savings and opportunities within project designs.
8. Compliance: Ensure projects comply with relevant building regulations, public works contract conditions, and company policies.
9. Site Visits: Conduct site visits to monitor progress, verify work completed, and measure quantities for payment purposes.
10. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior commercial staff, supporting their development.
