About the Role
This position involves working as a member of a team of nurses providing high quality patient centred care for patients and their families.
The successful candidate will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver innovative practice within the unit, focusing on delivering evidence-based care.
* To assist in a wide range of specialities such as orthopaedic, general, ophthalmology, gynae, ENT, pain management, urology, vascular surgery.
* Providing assistance to anaesthetic and recovery departments when needed.
The theatre nurse is expected to provide exceptional care to all patients, ensuring they receive the highest possible standard of treatment.
As part of this role you will act as preceptor to new staff members including students and clinical colleagues, mentoring them in theatre nursing best practice.
You will support and guide your colleagues when needed, fostering effective communication and interpersonal relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary team.

* Maintaining accurate records and following hospital policies.
