Senior Commercial Strategist
The role of Senior Commercial Strategist is pivotal in ensuring the commercial viability and financial integrity of our projects.
As a key member of the team, you will oversee the financial performance and contractual compliance of all projects, managing and supporting the Projects Team to deliver consistently against their targets. This includes aligning project resources, reviewing progress, and maintaining strong communication between the project, technical, and finance functions.
* Review and manage all project contracts, grant letters, and supplier agreements to ensure commercial and legal compliance.
* Maintain and track Project Milestone Values (PMVs), ensuring all milestones are properly documented, invoiced, and paid.
* Oversee project financials including cost tracking, profit margins, and budget vs actual performance.
* Approve and issue client invoices, subcontractor payments, and variation orders.
* Identify and mitigate commercial risks such as scope creep, late payments, or unapproved variations.
* Liaise with Finance to maintain accurate cash flow forecasts and invoice schedules.
* Provide commercial insight and reporting to the CEO and Head of Operations for forecasting and decision-making.
* Support Project Managers and Coordinators in meeting delivery, documentation, and invoicing targets.
