* We promote compliance with our Construction Safety and Health Plan and Environmental Management plans.
* If we spot any unsafe situations or practices, we intervene directly.
* We work with and coach our team to apply best safety practices.
Responsibilities
We expect you to complete a minimum of five SOR's and three SPA audits each week.
You will participate in the weekly safety audits as required by the rota.
In conjunction with the construction superintendent and EHS team, you will review contractors' method statements, SPAs, permit applications and provide feedback to ensure all risks have been assessed and appropriate control measures are in place.
You will participate in weekly Safety/Coordination meetings.
You will ensure work is coordinated with the commissioning team during the turnover phase.
Scope
You will be fully familiar with the contract scope, technical documentation package, contract price details and fabrication/supply/construction program.
Coordination
You will monitor day-to-day site activities of the contractors to ensure they complete their contracts safely, on time, within budget and meet quality standards.
You will be fully informed on planned activities, work methods and resources.
You will participate in morning planning meetings at the workface (Whiteboard meetings).
You will be aware of and take action on output from 4-week lookahead meetings and weekly coordination meetings.
Quality
You will monitor implementation of the contractors' Quality plan and carry out daily inspections of the works to ensure required standards are achieved.
You will witness tests or inspections required under the Inspection and Test Plan.
You will keep the CM & QA/QC manager informed on all quality matters.
You will advise QA/QC manager of potential deviations from IFC documentation and ensure only approved changes are implemented.
You will ensure work inspected conforms to approved FOK and samples.
You will complete a minimum of one specific inspection daily and record it in the QIR report.
You will liaise with Construction Superintendent and material Controller on free-issue equipment deliveries, receipt and inspections.
In conjunction with QA/QC/Turnover Manager, you will review and approve test packs and provide information to the database controller so status reports are up-to-date and accurate.
You will participate in system walkdowns, punch-list management, construction close-out and turnover of systems to client and/or C&Q team.
You will expedite close-out of punchlists. In lieu of Package Owner, you will review contractors' red-line mark-ups for completeness and accuracy.
You will ensure construction IFC's are red-lined showing progress achieved and accuracy of installation.
