Senior Leadership — Head of Valuations / Divisional Director (Professional Services)
Location:
Dublin (with national remit)
About the Firm
A leading commercial real-estate advisory practice delivering agency, investment, valuations, rent-reviews, arbitration and strategic advice across offices, retail, industrial/logistics, PRS, healthcare, mixed-use and development land. The firm combines deep market knowledge, high professional standards and broad sector coverage — working with domestic and international clients.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, senior valuations professional to lead, shape and grow our Valuations/Professional Services division. This is a high-impact leadership role offering real influence, strong visibility within the senior team, and the opportunity to lead a well established valuations function — with a focus on business growth, strategic direction, and market-leading delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide overall leadership and management of the valuations and professional services division.
* Oversee all valuation work across sectors including commercial, industrial, retail, logistics, PRS, healthcare, development land and mixed-use real estate.
* Ensure valuations are robust, accurate and delivered to high professional standards for purposes including financing, funds, tax, company accounts, acquisitions, loan books and litigation.
* Maintain close liaison with agency, investment, asset-management and advisory teams to deliver integrated client service and leverage market intelligence.
* Drive business development: grow the valuations client base, win new assignments, and build long-term relationships with investors, funds, lenders, occupiers and developers.
* Represent the firm (or its clients) as expert witness when required — in courts, tribunals, arbitration or other formal forums.
* Manage and mentor a team of surveyors and valuation professionals. Provide guidance, quality control and support ongoing professional development.
* Champion ESG and sustainability considerations — embedding them into valuation work, reporting, and advice, in line with market expectations and client needs.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulation, internal procedures, and risk management.
* Contribute to firm strategy, growth planning, and market positioning as a senior member of leadership.
Candidate Profile / Key Requirements
* Chartered Surveyor (SCSI / MRICS or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience, ideally 10–15+ years in commercial property, valuations or professional services.
* Proven track record of leading teams in valuation or advisory — ideally at senior or director level.
* Broad sector exposure (commercial offices, retail, industrial/logistics, PRS, healthcare, mixed-use, development land) with a clear understanding of market dynamics.
* Strong valuation credentials — financial-reporting, loan book, institutional funds, secured lending, tax, acquisition/disposal valuations, litigation, rent reviews, etc.
* Demonstrable business development and client-relationship skills — ability to win and manage large/institutional clients, maintain a pipeline of work and grow service offerings.
* Excellent commercial acumen, judgement and integrity; ability to provide strategic advice and think long-term.
* Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, and management capabilities; experience mentoring and developing a team.
* High standards for quality, compliance, and professional ethics; aware of ESG/sustainability trends and able to embed these in advice and valuations.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, including ability to act as expert witness when required.
* Ability and willingness to travel across Ireland as required.
