HR Officer - Newry - Permanent (Part-Time) MCS Group is pleased to be working with a well-established organisation based in Newry, to recruit a part-time HR Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take ownership of a broad generalist remit across multiple sites while contributing to a supportive and values-driven working environment. Role & Responsibilities - Overseeing the full recruitment process, from advertising through to appointment - Supporting a smooth onboarding experience and ensuring all compliance documentation is completed accurately - Acting as a trusted advisor to managers, providing professional guidance on HR policies, employee relations issues, and best practice - Managing a range of ER cases including absence reviews, investigations, performance matters, and formal procedures - Maintaining accurate employee files and ensuring all HR activity aligns with NI employment legislation and regulatory requirements - Assisting in the upkeep of the organisation's Home Office licence and associated visa administration - Preparing HR reports, highlighting emerging trends or risks for senior leadership - Coordinating training needs, supporting development initiatives, and contributing to wider HR projects and policy updates The Ideal Candidate - Strong experience in a generalist HR role with hands-on exposure to recruitment and employee relations - Solid understanding of NI employment law and compliance requirements - CIPD qualified and/or further HR study such as MSc in HRM is advantageous - Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build strong relationships - Highly organised, detail-focused, and confident working independently What's in it for You? - Competitive salary - 24 hours per week (Tuesday-Thursday) - On-site parking - Private medical insurance - Opportunity to have real impact within a respected care group To speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity please send an up to date CV via the link provided or contact Katie Fox, Specialist Consultant at MCS Group on or email Even if this position is not right for you, we may have others that are.
