Key Responsibilities:
Business Development: Proactively identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities through market research, networking, and cold calling.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by understanding their logistics needs and providing tailored solutions.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets and company objectives.
Quotation and Bidding: Prepare and present competitive freight forwarding proposals and bids to prospective clients.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities.
Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, customer service, and management teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and client information using the company's CRM system.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of direct sales experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
In-depth knowledge of international freight forwarding, including air, ocean, and road freight.
Existing network of contacts within the Irish import/export market is highly desirable.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
