Job Overview
As Assistant Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of nursing and social care, tailored to meet each resident's individual needs. You will oversee clinical governance, assessments, and care planning to maintain quality outcomes, leading and mentoring CNMs, nurses, and care assistants to promote teamwork, learning, and excellence in care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the highest standards of nursing and social care, tailored to meet each resident's individual needs
* Oversee clinical governance, assessments, and care planning to maintain quality outcomes
* Lead and mentor CNMs, nurses, and care assistants, promoting teamwork, learning, and excellence in care delivery
* Supervise medication management, conduct regular audits, and work closely with GPs and pharmacists to ensure compliance and best practice
* Support the Director of Nursing in maintaining exceptional clinical, environmental, and hygiene standards
* Act as a trusted point of contact for residents and families, fostering a warm, person-centred environment
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with active NMBI registration
* Minimum of 2 years management experience in a healthcare or nursing home setting
* Post-registration qualification in Gerontology and/or Dementia Care is highly desirable
* Eligibility to work in Ireland
