A leading Financial Services organisation is seeking an ambitious finance professional to join its Finance Fund Operations team as an Assistant Finance Manager (Fund Accounting) on a 12-month fixed-term contract.Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this role offers excellent exposure across complex investment portfolios and fund structures within a high-performing finance environment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to further develop their leadership skills while working across both public and private market investments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and support a team of finance professionalsReview daily and monthly management reportingOversee investment accounting and administration activities, ensuring accuracy and timely settlementReview reconciliations between investment manager and Global Custodian recordsSupport oversight of the Global Custodian, including KPI reviews and service meetingsAnalyse complex investment products across custody and accounting processesPrepare market opening packs and withholding tax reclaim applicationsLiaise with external tax advisors regarding compliance and filingsAssist with quarterly valuation reporting and year-end audit processesMaintain and enhance finance procedures, controls, and documentationPartner closely with Financial Reporting teams, investment teams, and project stakeholdersAbout You Experience & QualificationsThird-level qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related disciplineMinimum 5 years’ Fund Accounting experienceStrong knowledge of Hedge Funds and Private Market productsExperience managing and developing team membersExposure to system implementations or transformation projects advantageousSkills & Technical KnowledgeStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilityHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong Microsoft Excel and MS Office skillsExperience across a range of investment products including equities, bonds, loans, derivatives, and fundsKnowledge of Custodian oversight and portfolio management systems advantageousUnderstanding of finance controls, governance, and process improvement initiativesWhat’s on OfferOpportunity to join a highly regarded financial services organisationExposure to complex investment structures and operationsCollaborative and high-performing team environmentTo apply, please reach out to Richard Minchin on the Lex Consultancy team.
