Responsibilities
Drive alignment ensuring day‑to‑day effective management of production, ensuring products are produced in a timely and cost‑effective manner across multiple Business Units.
Establish performance targets for the Business Units.
Lead multiple high‑performing teams.
Mentor and coach other Operations Managers.
Ensure that sufficient processes are in place for capacity planning so the organisation’s commitments to meet or exceed customer requirements are met.
Promote a culture of Safety, Quality, People Development and Continuous Improvement.
Champion a positive employee environment.
Ensure effective processes in the selection of competent talent.
Engage in all internal and external audit programmes such as Corporate, notified body & FDA audits.
With global alignment, ensure that necessary capacity is in place across the network to meet customers’ demands.
Represent Operations function in NPI, PT and MT launches.
Foster strong collaboration across all functions, having a strategic view in identifying alignment and developing strategies.
Build a high‑trust and engagement culture within operations.
Qualifications
At least 5 years manufacturing experience, preferably at production management level, within a team‑based manufacturing environment (Medical Device background desirable but not essential).
Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent essential.
Excellent team player that can leverage the abilities of all personnel within the business unit.
Competent in preparing business strategies and implementing action plans.
PC literate and strong knowledge of inventory systems, MRP and measurement tools essential.
Excellent presentation and communication skills required.
Individual must thrive in a team‑based environment with high emphasis on accountability for service levels, inventory management, standard cost, expense control and quality/GMP compliance.
Strong leadership skills, persuasive but firm and decisive when necessary, demonstrating success in managing change, developing the team, and confronting performance issues.
