Job Title: Transport Fleet Officer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Fleet Officer to join our team at St. Michaels House.
About Us:
St. Michaels House provides a comprehensive range of services and supports to men, women, and children with disabilities, and their families in over 200 locations across the greater Dublin Area.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep of our fleet of over 170 vehicles across the greater Dublin area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure that the fleet of vehicles are serviced, maintained, and repaired as required.
* Develop servicing schedules and support the various housing and day service units with the maintenance of their vehicles.
* Assess damage, repairs, or upgrades as identified.
* Source quotes for repair, maintenance, or upgrade works to the vehicles.
* Prepare cap ex submissions for approval of expenditure.
* Assist and support the Chief Assistant Technical Services Officer with developing and managing a fleet management program.
* Implement procedures for acquiring new vehicles and disposing of existing as agreed.
* Ensure vehicles are taxed and meet statutory compliance for use as assigned (CVRT, NCT, Motor Tax etc.).
* Monitor and report on fuel usage, repairs and maintenance, and keep accurate records of budget spend.
* Work alongside the other Transport team members in ensuring a robust and effective transport service.
Requirements:
* Minimum NFQ Level 6 qualification, Trade Qualification, or similar relative to the management of a transport fleet.
* 2 years working in a similar role, demonstrating experience in the duties outlined above.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 programs (Word, Excel etc.).
* Hold a full clean Driving Licence.
* Own vehicle that can be used for work (travel to various sites will be required).
