We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Tutor/Teacher to workone-to-one with a bright, verbal, and engaging 19-year-old student with Fragile X syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
This is a unique and fulfilling role where no two days are the same.
? About the Student She is curious, energetic, and loves: ?? Art & museums ??? Fitness & sports (basketball, tennis, swimming, gymnastics, horse riding, boxing, GAA) ?? Singing & performance ?? History, cartoons, and creative projects You will accompany her to activities and support her participation where needed.
?? What Youll Do Create and deliver an interest-led curriculum (4 hours teaching daily) Design weekly learning themes with art projects and CANVA materials Support physical education: swimming, cycling, hill walking, boxing, etc.
Manage occasional challenging behaviour with skill and empathy Build book and film libraries based on topics studied Introduce new areas of learning and exploration Present completed work and projects to family and friends Collaborate with CNDT, HSE and other tutors ?? Ed / PME / HDip) or equivalent Experience in Special Education (required) Native English speaker Passion for arts, fitness, education, and food Excellent communication & interpersonal skills Team-oriented, creative, and adaptable Garda vetted (or equivalent) Full clean driving licence ??
