Speech and Language Therapist - Clinical Leadership Role
As a senior speech and language therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for patients with complex communication and swallowing disorders in an acute hospital setting.
About the Department
The multidisciplinary team delivers evidence-based care to adults across all acute areas, including stroke, age-related care, critical care, respiratory, general medicine, and surgery.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide therapy for patients with communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing difficulties.
* Manage a senior caseload of stroke, neurological conditions, progressive disease, and acutely ill elderly patients.
* Deliver specialist dysphagia interventions using best practice guidelines.
* Collaborate closely with the MDT to ensure holistic patient care.
* Provide training and education for staff, patients, and families.
* Maintain accurate clinical records; contribute to audits, research, and service improvement projects.
