We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Mechanical Supervisor to oversee and manage the mechanical construction of a large-scale solar farm.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical systems, including racking structures, trackers, and other mechanical infrastructure, are installed and functioning optimally to ensure maximum energy output and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical supervision within renewable energy, construction, or industrial settings and will be passionate about advancing the clean energy transition.
This role will involved strong leadership of contractors on site and also the ability to provided technical direction when required.

Key Responsibilities:
· Mechanical Supervision: Supervise, direct, and coordinate all mechanical activities on-site, ensuring work is performed safely and in compliance with all industry standards and regulations.
· Installation & Commissioning: Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, including the mounting structures and other supporting infrastructure for solar panels.
· Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and legal regulations, including conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and toolbox talks.
Promote a safety-first culture among the team.
· Quality Control: Monitor quality control of all mechanical works, ensuring that all installations and maintenance tasks meet high-quality standards and specifications.
· Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all construction activities, including work orders, safety inspections, and incident reports.
Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, challenges, and key metrics.
· Coordination & Communication: Coordinate with other departments, including electrical and civil teams, to ensure smooth project execution.
Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Qualifications:
· A mechanical trade, degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
· At least 3 years of experience in mechanical supervision, preferably within the renewable energy, construction, or industrial sectors.
· Experience with solar farm construction is highly desirable but not essential.
· Proven track record of managing mechanical systems and teams in a construction environment.
· Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
· Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues, implement solutions, and optimize performance.
· Strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Valid Safepass.
