Job Overview
The Field Applications Specialist (FAS) supports the European Implementation Team in Ireland, commissioning and maintaining diagnostic instrumentation while delivering exceptional customer service. This remote position requires on‑site presence in Cork and Kerry for a minimum of four days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Commission and support diagnostic instrumentation, ensuring optimal performance and data quality.
Provide training and professional support to customers, maintaining clear and timely support logs.
Resolve customer issues using technical and scientific expertise, contributing to contract retention and warranty conversion.
Collaborate with the Field Application Manager and cross‑functional teams to drive revenue growth and deliver successful installations.
Develop industry knowledge and commercial awareness, promoting new products and solutions to customers.
Essential Qualifications
University scientific degree with proven experience in chemical chemistry and immunoassays laboratory.
Strong communication skills, able to interact with customers on a detailed scientific basis.
Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned geography, including periodic and overnight trips.
Flexibility to work varied hours according to business needs.
Travel, Vehicle and Physical Requirements
Hold a current valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Use a company vehicle and other support equipment (mobile phone, laptop) as required.
