Role Overview
This is more than a typical GP role – it’s your chance to work in a large, modern hospital environment with exceptional facilities, a collaborative team, and the freedom to shape your clinical future. You will have the flexibility and support to develop a niche clinical focus over time.
Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day consultations, case work‑ups, routine procedures, and surgery.
Work cases to a high standard with time and support.
Work‑Life Balance
40‑hour week.
1 in 3 Saturdays (daytime only).
No out‑of‑hours or on‑call.
No bank holidays.
Facilities
Multiple fully‑equipped operating suites.
Separate dog and cat wards.
On‑site hydrotherapy pool with a dedicated rehabilitation team.
Comprehensive in‑house diagnostics.
Qualifications
VCI‑registered Veterinary Surgeon (essential).
Proven experience in small animal first‑opinion practice.
Confident with routine consultations, medical work‑ups, and standard surgeries.
Proactive, team‑oriented approach with a desire to grow clinically.
Please note: this role is not suitable for new graduates or those requiring a high level of mentorship, but could suit a capable junior vet ready to step up.
