Job Title: Theatre Nurse
The role of the theatre nurse is to provide evidence-based care to patients undergoing surgery, working as an integral member of the nursing and multidisciplinary team in the operating theatre suite.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality patient care according to professional standards and hospital guidelines.
* Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient outcomes.
* Assume responsibility for managing ward areas, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
* Mentor and develop new staff, promoting career growth and development.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest knowledge and skills within endoscopy and nursing.
* Collaborate with colleagues to participate in education and training initiatives.
Requirements:
* Registered as a nurse in the General Division of the Register of Nurses or eligible for registration.
* Basic Life Support Training certification.
* At least 2 years' experience in theatre nursing.
* A relevant theatre qualification is advantageous but not essential.
