Group Operations Manager
The core of our operations is built on the premise that safety should always be a top priority.
To achieve this, we require an experienced Group Operations Manager who will lead by example and promote a positive safety culture within their team.
This individual must be able to assess risks and implement corrective actions as a matter of urgency.
They will also need to coach their team members in maintaining a safe working environment and promoting positive behaviours.
A key aspect of this role will be to ensure all team members have received the necessary training to perform their tasks safely.
The Group Operations Manager will also be responsible for tracking and improving safety performance metrics and confirming that team members have access to a safe working environment.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Group Operations Manager will also play a key role in developing and implementing our production stream strategy.
They will work closely with other departments to identify areas for improvement and develop plans to address them.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a strong leader who can motivate and engage their team to drive business improvement.
They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build trust and rapport with their team members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safety is a condition that must always be maintained.
* Risks must be assessed and corrective actions implemented promptly.

* Team members must receive the necessary training to perform their tasks safely.
* Safety performance metrics must be tracked and improved regularly.
Production Stream Strategy:
* A strategic plan must be developed to improve our production stream.
* This plan must include clear objectives and key performance indicators.
* Team leaders must understand their roles and responsibilities in delivering the objectives.
Leadership Responsibilities:
* Lead the Production Stream team and ensure they are engaged and motivated.
* Promote cross-functional involvement to optimise support.
* Build team capability through training, coaching and OPEX tools.
* Focus on priority problem-solving activity and measure performance.
* Highlight successes to build pride and motivation.
* Recruit and select capable team members.
* Manage ongoing performance through 1:1s and regular feedback.
* Identify and create a pipeline of talent for future development opportunities.
* Build trust through effective management tools and processes.
* Manage grievances and disciplinary issues with HR support.
* Encourage team participation in business improvement activities.
