The Role: Maintenance Engineer Supervisor
As Maintenance Supervisor, you will take full ownership of all maintenance activities across our production site. From leading our maintenance team, ensuring optimal equipment performance and driving continuous improvement, you will be a key player in delivering operational excellence and safety in everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the engineering maintenance team to ensure high performance and accountability.
* Oversee all repair and preventative maintenance activities for production equipment, plant machinery and site infrastructure.
* Organise and manage planned preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and support uninterrupted production operations.
* Ensure maintenance schedules are efficiently balanced with emergency and reactive work.
* Drive continuous improvement in maintenance systems, equipment reliability, and engineering standards.
* Conduct Engineering Maintenance Audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory and H&S requirements.
* Maintain clear and accurate maintenance records and manage engineering spare parts inventory.
* Champion safety, hygiene, and quality standards in line with food manufacturing regulations.
* Ensure team members are appropriately trained and supported, especially when onboarding new equipment or procedures.
* Foster collaboration with cross-functional departments to deliver business goals and maintain best-in-class standards.
About You
* Qualified in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory maintenance role, ideally in the food manufacturing sector.
* Proven leadership experience with a hands-on approach.
* Strong multi-trade skills and practical knowledge of plant diagnostics and repair.
* Proficient in computerised maintenance systems and familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles.
* Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
