Dublin International Film Festival (DIFF) are currently hiring for a Volunteer Manager to join their team.About The Role:Reporting to the Festival Manager, Volunteer Manager will recruit, train and co-ordinate the volunteers, who are an integral part of the festival,across all venues. Leading up to and during the festival, they will work with the various festival departments to allocate the volunteers as needed.Key Responsibilities:Draft Volunteer handbook and application formsSelect the Volunteers and communicate with all applicants regarding their applicationsOrganise and run the Volunteers Induction MeetingLiaise with the Finance Officer regarding budgets and allocation of resources around the festival and ensure that those targets are adhered to.Train Volunteers as ambassadors of DIFF working with the Marketing team to ensure all volunteers are fully up to speed with all branding and identity of the festival.Manage all administration regarding the Volunteer ProgrammeLiaise with all department heads regarding areas of required support and ensure that volunteers are rostered in these areas where feasibleDevise and implement crew rosters in liaison with the department heads.Draft callout sheets for crew working in venuesCo-ordinate distribution and collection of voting cards for Audience AwardsSkills and Expertise:Essential Skills/Experience ~Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a busy venue or festivalAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail.Problem resolution skillsTime management skills.People management skills.Desirable Skills/Experience ~Fire safety certificateFirst Aid certificateManual Handling certificateKey Information:Reporting To: Festival ManagerWorks Directly With: All DepartmentsSalary: €600 per weekContract: 5 January – 6 March 2026Deadline: Friday 21 November 2025, with interviews to be held in Dublin on 1 December 2025Start Date: 5 January 2026Place Of Work: Dublin International Film Festival Office, Digital Hub, Thomas Street, Dublin.
