Quality Assurance Specialist
The primary goal of this position is to maintain quality standards for timber arriving at the site, ensuring that various facilities receive waste acceptance criteria standards.
* Daily inspections of incoming loads, sampling, and testing of finished products are required, with preparation of samples for independent testing.
* Reporting on incoming loads and collaborating with facilities to improve quality arriving on-site is essential.
Broad responsibilities include:
* Daily analysis of incoming loads by percentage waste, MDF, virgin wood, etc.
* Taking photos and recording contaminants, forwarding images to site managers for advice and rectification.
* Maintaining records of incoming loads by facility.
* Reviewing the quality of virgin biomass loads to ensure each load is rich in virgin biomass.
* Collaborating with sites to maintain Edenderry Power specification and end-of-waste procedures.
* Agreeing methodology and taking final samples of processed timber to check against waste acceptance criteria.
* Coordinating with third-party facility managers to improve incoming quality.
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
