A leading FMCG business is seeking an experienced and commercially driven National Account Manager to join its Category Business team. This is a high-impact role focused on delivering sustainable revenue and margin growth through data-led commercial strategy, pricing optimisation, promotional effectiveness, and cross-functional collaboration.
This opportunity would suit someone with strong experience in Revenue Growth Management (RGM) or Net Revenue Management (NRM) within a fast-paced FMCG environment who enjoys influencing strategy, driving profitability, and partnering across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
The Role
Reporting to the Category Director, the Commercial Planning Manager will lead the development and execution of revenue growth strategies across brands, customers, and channels. The successful candidate will take ownership of pricing strategy, promotional ROI, pack-price architecture, investment optimisation, and overall commercial performance to Gross Profit level.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute commercial revenue growth plans aligned to short and long-term business objectives.
Own and manage the P&L for assigned portfolio, including forecasting, budgeting, profitability optimisation, and investment management.
Drive opportunities to improve revenue and margin through pricing, pack architecture, promotion, and channel strategy.
Analyse customer investment ROI and identify key commercial performance drivers.
Lead pack-price architecture strategy to optimise pricing ladders and consumer value perception.
Evaluate promotional effectiveness through post-event analysis and shopper insights.
Partner with Marketing on pricing strategy for innovation and product launches.
Lead commercial performance reviews and provide recommendations to improve delivery against targets.
Work closely with Sales teams on Joint Business Planning, pricing, promotions, and investment priorities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Insights, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Demand Planning teams.
Support successful product launches, range optimisation, and forecast management.
What We’re Looking For
Degree-qualified with 4+ years’ experience in Revenue Growth Management or Net Revenue Management within FMCG.
Strong commercial and financial acumen with proven experience driving profitable growth.
Expertise in pricing strategy, promotional analysis, trade investment management, and revenue optimisation.
Highly analytical with the ability to turn data into actionable commercial insights.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across cross-functional teams.
Experience working closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain functions.
Strategic thinker with strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
