Project Director for Capital Projects
This role manages the full lifecycle of capital projects, from concept to delivery, ensuring timely, within-budget and safe project execution.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading cross-functional teams to develop project documentation, including design packages, schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and progress reports.
* Overseeing equipment specification, vendor selection, factory acceptance testing, installation, and qualification activities.
* Coordinating with Engineering, Operations, Quality, EHS, Procurement, and external partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
* Developing business cases and supporting capital applications.
Qualifications and experience required:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
* Minimum 10 years' experience delivering capital projects in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing.
* Proven track record of managing equipment and facility projects up to approximately €3 million.
* Strong understanding of GMP regulations, engineering design principles, equipment installation, and commissioning processes.
* Experience managing external contractors and equipment vendors.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Project management certification (PMP/IPMA) is advantageous.
