Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Maintenance Engineer – Dublin 22 (Grangecastle)€65,000-€75,000 + BenefitsAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Maintenance Engineer to join a major power plant project in Grangecastle, Dublin 22.Key Responsibilities:Perform condition-based and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical and control systems.Conduct routine inspections, thermographic analysis, and condition monitoring of MV/HV switchgear, transformers, MCCs, VSDs, and motors.Diagnose and repair electrical faults using schematics, diagrams, and testing equipment.Install and calibrate field instrumentation including transmitters, analysers, sensors, and control valves.Troubleshoot control and instrumentation faults using P&IDs, loop diagrams, and process flow diagrams.Execute HV switching operations in line with safety standards and LOTO procedures.Log all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Prepare and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments (RAMS) for maintenance work.Requirements:NFQ Level 6 Certificate – Craft: Electrical, Instrumentation, or equivalent qualification.Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical and C&I maintenance, ideally within a power generation or heavy industry environment.Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems, transformers, switchgear, and motors.Proficient in reading electrical drawings, P&IDs, and using electrical testing/calibration tools.Solid understanding of safe work practices including LOTO, PTW systems, and electrical safety protocols.Comfortable using CMMS and IT systems for maintenance tracking.Fluency in English; authorised to work in Ireland.Authorized Person (AP) training is desirable (not essential).Skills:Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Ability to work safely and independently under minimal supervision.Good understanding of plant safety and environmental protection procedures.
