Brightwater Executive is delighted to be retained for this Group CFO position.
A unique opportunity and timing to join this leading professional services organisation with continued ambitious expansion plans, primarily through strategic and bolt-on acquisitions and organic growth.
Reporting into the Group CEO, the Group CFO will be providing strategic financial leadership, to drive and support M&A activities, working closely alongside the wider SLT members to support the companys vision and strategic growth road map, driving relations with capital partners Leading the finance function, overseeing financial operations, and driving strategic initiatives with a focus on M&A and investor relations.
This individual will ensure robust financial planning, control, and reporting across the group, supporting the group executives and subsidiary MDs in making sound financial and strategic decisions.
A proactive and dynamic finance leader with experience in high-growth environments, particularly with M&A execution and integration will be ideal for this role with an entrepreneurial / intrapreneurial mindset.
Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute the groups financial strategy, aligning with the company's short- and long-term growth objectives.
Act as a trusted advisor to the wider SLT members, providing insights and recommendations on financial performance, budgeting, and acquisition opportunities, fostering a high-performance culture.
Implement and maintain best practices in financial management, policies, and governance to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Capital Partner and Capital Management Manage relations with the groups capital partners, ensuring best-in-class financial reporting and compliance with all covenants and obligations.
Lead and develop the optimisation of the groups capital structure and available capital options for both organic and inorganic growth.
Mergers & Acquisitions Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, conducting financial modelling and financial due diligence and assessing risks to support strategic decision-making.
Lead financial negotiations, integrated modelling, due diligence and analysis for M&A deals, working closely with investors, legal, operations, and other key stakeholders.
Manage the integration of acquired companies, establishing consolidated reporting and aligning financial processes and systems.
Ensure clear communication with internal and external stakeholders and investors Financial Reporting, Planning & Risk Management: Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly financial reports on a timely basis and efficient usage of the groups ID facilities.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of budgets, and forecasts with strong analysis provision and KPI metrics oversight.
Establish robust and fully integrated financial forecasting model, including scenario planning for various growth strategies and to manage investor communications.
Monitor and manage the company's financial risk exposures Ensure compliance tax requirements and company reporting standards and audits.
Drive finance operational efficiencies for the group and individual Units Partner with operational teams to develop financial insights that support business decision-making and maximise scalable profitability.
Ideal Skills, Competencies and Qualifications Leadership: Strong finance leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with executive and operational teams with sound group reporting technical skills FCA or equivalent with Bachelors degree in finance / economics, or a related field.
MBA, Masters in Finance or equivalent is highly desirable (but not essential).
Ideally 15+ PQE years in finance leadership roles, including corporate financing skills.
Ideal background within a professional service, advisory or B2B services related industry with turnovers of €50 million plus + ideally M&A Expertise: Proven track record in supporting on sourcing, leading, completing and integrating acquisitions, with strong modelling, negotiation, and due diligence skills.
Capital Raising Expertise: Proven track record of sourcing capital from a variety of capital providers and managing such relationships during investment periods.
Capital Management: Knowledge and experience in tax planning and optimisation, share structures, management incentive schemes, and working capital management.
Strong analytical and strategic acumen, highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to pivot quickly and adapt to changing business needs.
