Yard Operative Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Yard Operative to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our yard and stores, including loading and offloading deliveries, checking and storing incoming stock, maintaining a tidy and obstruction-free yard, and operating a forklift.
Main Responsibilities:
* Loading and unloading deliveries in a safe and efficient manner
* Checking and storing incoming stock accurately and efficiently
* Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, free from obstructions
* Operating a forklift safely and effectively
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Yard Operative or similar role is preferred
* A valid Full Irish driver's license is required
* Candidates must be at least 25 years old due to insurance requirements
* Manual Handling and forklift licenses are desirable, with training available
* Knowledge of safe loading and unloading techniques is essential
* Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask are necessary
* Attention to detail when checking and storing stock is crucial
* Awareness of health and safety regulations is vital
* Proactive approach to keeping work areas clean and tidy is expected
* Good communication and teamwork skills are essential
