Carlton Hotel is a luxury 4-star Hotel with a broad clientele base including business clients and Park-Sleep-Fly travellers. We are conveniently located next to the Airport and just five minutes from the M1 and M50.
We are recruiting for a Reception Supervisor.
The Front Office Department at the Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport is the main liaison point between guests and the Hotel, as well as working closely with other Hotel departments. Activities such as check ins/check outs, guest requests, and concierge services are handled here. The Front Desk operation has a significant bearing on our guests' impression of the Hotel, so everything must always be at its very best.
We are recruiting for an experienced Reception Supervisor to join our busy Front Office Team. You will be genuinely caring and have very strong organisational and interpersonal skills, key to this important customer-facing role. You will be hard-working, have a great attitude, and delight in providing excellent customer service.

Specific responsibilities in this role include:
* Welcoming and checking in guests
* Checking out departing guests, ensuring all charges are properly processed
* Dealing efficiently and politely with all guest enquiries and feedback
* General switchboard duties including taking of reservations
* Liaising with other Departments as required
* Provision of excellent hospitality and guest service
* Fully participating as a member of the Departmental Management Team, assisting the FOM if/as required
* Implementing and overseeing costs control measures
* Ideally, bringing forward initiatives and innovations for consideration
* Ensuring that you maintain the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct at all times, leading by example
* Adhering to our health & safety training, policies, and procedures
* Engaging in planning activities as required
* Delivering (documented) training as required, in accordance with the Hotel's standards
* Supervising service, ensuring that we endeavour to offer excellent customer service at all times
* Providing mentoring, support and encouragement to the Team
* Conducting counselling sessions if/as required
* Being fully familiar with our products and services
Successful applicants must:
* Ideally, have at least two years of previous, relevant, Front Office Supervisory experience within the Hotel sector
* Demonstrate a willingness to learn, as training will be provided
* Have a calm, efficient, professional, and organised approach to your work
* Have excellent presentation, motivation, and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrate the highest level of attention to detail
* Be able to work hands-on, as part of a Team or on your own initiative
* Be fully computer literate (MS Office)
* Possess excellent written and spoken English for this key customer-facing role
* Ideally, have good working knowledge of reception software (we use MEWS). This would be a distinct advantage but full training will be provided
* Be flexible as regards shift work patterns (as our operation covers Monday to Sunday, early morning to late evening)
* Have a good standard of health / level of fitness, and be capable of, and comfortable with, physical activity
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €29,000.00-€30,000.00 per year
