Based in Dublin with possibility to work remotely part of the week
Full Time permanent contract - 36 hours per week
Salary: Band A, commencing at €57,700

The Role
This role is linking two key areas of expertise
* Leading on Humanitarian Policy and Advocacy for Oxfam Ireland (50%)
* Coordinating Humanitarian Funding with the Global Humanitarian team (50%)
Policy/Advocacy
To provide leadership and strategic vision for Oxfam Ireland's work in the humanitarian policy & advocacy arena, including r epresenting Oxfam Ireland at the highest levels within the Irish sector/market (including media), with the Irish Government, humanitarian networks and academic institutions, public and other institutions such as at EU and UN level where appropriate opportunities arise.
Funding
This role is key to ensuring strong coordination and supporting the strategic vision set up for the Confederation's humanitarian funding efforts. It will play a central part in fostering a more unified approach aimed at improving outcomes, increasing financial support, and promoting high-quality resources for humanitarian responses.
Essential Skills
To be considered for the role, candidates should possess a range of technical skills and experience including:
· Significant proven track record in the humanitarian sector derived of leadership of complex emergency responses and humanitarian policy and funding work.
· Demonstrable experience of international humanitarian funding, policy and practice issues and the global humanitarian architecture sufficient to command the respect of others in the sector and to influence and shape policy decision-making at national level.
· High-level strategic leadership skills.
· Ability to use analytical thinking and understanding to provide strategic vision and inspiration to others.
Desirable Skills
· Technical knowledge and/or experience of working with Irish Government, Irish bodies, systems or fundraising markets.
