The Operations and Asset Management Office is central to the delivery of our primary role – the operation, development and enhancement of the power system and the wholesale electricity market.
The Office is also responsible for the sustainable implementation of transmission system and market development to meet the future needs of all users of electricity.
The Operations Development and Compliance (ODC) function is responsible for programme delivery for COAMO, integrating change to support delivery of our strategy.
The team are also responsible for management and integration of changes to the Grid Code, Market Codes and arising from operational European Network Codes, as well as Governance, Risk, Compliance and Audit associated with our licence obligations.
ODC is a skilled multi-disciplinary team of professionals with backgrounds in engineering, science, law and business.
We partner with our colleagues in other Offices to deliver the changes to support the development of the power system and markets.
The team are responsible for ensuring that we are operationally ready for the future market and system and that the appropriate technology solutions are delivered.
The Team - Programme Delivery Office within ODC
Operating within ODC, the Programme Delivery Office is responsible for leading co-ordinating and facilitating the Operations Office's participation in key corporate initiatives including strategic planning and change management; business planning, monitoring and reporting; resource planning and budgeting and Regulatory Price Controls (EirGrid TSO, SEMO).
We also ensure operational readiness for strategic operational and technological change programmes as well as leading engagement with the Chief Transformation and Technology Office on a portfolio of strategic change programmes including specifications, governance, change management and delivery as well as leading on operational regulatory policy development for the Operational Office.
The Opportunity
The Senior Analyst - Programme Delivery is responsible for leading, coordinating and supporting business planning, change management, tracking and reporting of the various initiatives, programmes and projects in the Operations Office.
This includes understanding a portfolio of projects and programmes, their drivers, their objective, their purpose, their interactions and their progress.
It also involves supporting the development and implementation of an effective change readiness framework for Operations within the Programme Delivery office and roll-out across the portfolio of projects.
The role holder will work cross-functionally to enable successful outcomes for the Operations office and play a central role in supporting complex programmes by identifying and managing risks.
They will assist in developing plans and timelines, monitor performance against key milestones, and produce regular reports for stakeholders.
Responsibilities include maintaining risk registers, supporting mitigation strategies, and ensuring effective communication across teams and leadership.
By leveraging planning and visualisation tools, they support delivery processes and promote transparency.
They work with the wider business to review and optimise existing business processes and establish new processes to drive efficiencies.
The Senior Analyst is aware of the context of the company's corporate mission, strategy and strategic objectives and is fully cognisant of compliance obligations in a regulated business environment.
About You
Third level qualification in a relevant discipline.
Project / Programme Management certification.
At least 4 years relevant technical experience.
Experience in a Project Management Office or similar organisational structure.
Strong track record of project management and delivery in cross-functional environments.
Experience of identifying, communicating and prioritising a pipeline of projects.
Familiarity with portfolio management and resource allocation strategies.
Ability to employ project management and visualisation tools for effective communication and collaboration.
Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving capability.
Be an effective communicator and excellent report writing capability to ensure transparency and inform effective decision-making and prioritisation.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to define and guide his/her own work under minimal supervision.
Demonstrated flexible working approach with ability to prioritise a wide range of demands and activities whilst maintaining a professional and positive focus.
Strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail and quality orientation.
