CNC Machinist – Routers
Location: County Meath, Ireland
Salary: €42,000 - €45,000
Hours: 40 hours per week

Our client is seeking a highly capable CNC Programmer / CAD-CAM Technician to support the manufacturing and production function. This role is responsible for creating accurate CNC toolpaths, nesting, cut lists, and production documentation to ensure seamless workflow across the shop floor. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD/CAM expertise, an excellent eye for detail, and the ability to translate engineering drawings into precise manufacturing outputs.
CNC Machinist Duties:
Generate accurate toolpaths using CAD/CAM software such as ProNest, Alphacam, or equivalent.
Read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Produce CNC nesting files and issue them promptly to the production floor.
Create accurate saw cut lists based on engineering drawings, including printing, data entry, and preparing cover sheets in line with production schedules.
Print, package, and distribute workshop drawings to the shop floor.
Collaborate closely with production teams to optimise machining processes, improve throughput, and reduce waste.
Prepare and issue production lists, ensuring material requisitions are correct, complete, and fully aligned with planned works.
Maintain accurate records and data input to ensure full traceability of all manufactured products.
CNC Machinist Requirements:
Strong proficiency with CAD/CAM platforms (ProNest, Alphacam or similar).
Hands-on CNC background with experience setting, programming, or operating CNC machinery (mills, lathes, routers etc.).
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
Ability to confidently interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and small batch project flows.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Self-driven, able to work independently and collaboratively within a production team.
Competent in maintaining project records, documentation, and technical administration.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Access.
